a previous meeting that he had no intention of developing his property when it is <br />annexed to the City, but it has now come to Mr. Muth's attention that development <br />plans are being considered by Mr. tteinrich at this time. Mr. Muth requested Council <br />to continue this item until completion of the Vintage Hills/Vineyard Avenue study, <br />which is expected to be considered by Council on February 26, 1985. He reiterated <br />his concern regarding traffic in the surrounding area and feels that further develop- <br />ment will create additional problems. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ben Tarver, 1144 Arak Court, stated it is his understanding that there is a <br />plan on the drawing board for the subject property, and asked if the zoning is con- <br />sistent with the surrounding area for zoning. Mr. Harris advised that no plans have <br />been submitted but he had received a call this date regarding development plans for <br />the Heinrich property. Mr. Harris stated that zoning is consistent with surrounding <br />property. Mr. Tarvet stated that the majority of Vintage Hills residents prefer only <br />single-family residential development; and are opposed to any further multi-family <br />development. Mr. Tarver stated he concurs with the previous speaker, and requests <br />that this item be continued until after review of the Vintage Hills/Vineyard Avenue <br />study. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Karen Duran, 3568 Vine Street, stated it is the wishes and desires of the <br />Remen tract residents that dwellings in this area remain consistent with those already <br />existing in the Remen tract, and she saw no reason for rezoning. She stated it is <br />inappropriate to consider rezoning at this time because of the study in progress. She <br />also felt this matter should be considered bv the Residential General Plan Review Com- <br />mittee. <br /> <br /> Mr. T. Dillard, 452 Linden Way, stated he is opposed to any prezoning of medium <br />type zoning of this area. He likes the rural lifestyle and would prefer to keep the <br />environment as it is now. <br /> <br /> Ms. Sharrel! Maller, 415 Linden Way, stated this area is single-family homes now. <br />She asked that Councilskeep low density zoning in the Remen tract area, and to wait <br />until after review of the study to make any decision on this matter. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed <br />on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by'Council- <br />member Brandes, to reopen the public hearing on RZ-84-18, application of the City of <br />Pleasanton to prezone the five parcels totalling approximately 1.9+ acres located at <br />3655, 3683, and 3731 Vineyard Avenue to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) Medium <br />Densit~ Resident~_al District or any other zoning district in conformance with the <br />General Plan, and consideration of adoption of Negative Declaration, and continue <br />this item to the City Council meeting following consideration of the Vintage Hills/ <br />Vineyard Avenue study. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, ~ood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />PUD-84-7, Application of John and Joan Caroline for development'plan approval for a <br />19 unit detached single-family residential project proposed for the approximately 2.0 <br />acre site located on the north side of Vineyard Avenue opposite Mavis Drive.
