The property is located <br /> on the southwest corner of the intersection of First Street and Stanley <br /> Boulevard and is currently zoned "A" {Agricultural) District <br /> <br /> Consider Adoption of Neqative Declaration <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 85:604) dated December 17, 1985, <br /> regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br /> negative declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brent Wilcox, representing his parents at 3998 Stanley Boulevard, ex- <br /> pressed disapproval of the trees that had been removed from this site. He <br /> stated he is also concerned about the type of development being proposed for <br /> the location. The area is zoned Agricultural and any development might force <br /> roadways onto his parents property. He stated there is concern about ingress <br /> and egress; traffic is already a problem on Stanley Boulevard. He stated that <br /> the property owners in this area would like to work with the City when a <br /> specific project is proposed for this location. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gregg Mix, 205-B Main Street, representing the First Street and Stan- <br /> ley Boulevard homeowners, stated they concur with staff recommendations that <br /> this matter be continued indefinitely. He stated there are significant ques- <br /> tions that cannot be answered at this time. <br /> <br /> Mr. Dave Peterson, 4013 Stanley Boulevard, opposed development of this <br /> property because of the problem with traffic. <br /> <br /> Mr. Morris Jones, 4023 Stanley Boulevard, stated he would not like to see <br /> any development at this location; he did not feel there was sufficient land <br /> for any project. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Brandes declared the public hear- <br /> ing closed on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br /> that Resolution No. 85-588, continuing indefinitely GP-85-10, application of <br /> John Caroline for a General Plan amendment to the Land Use Element of the <br /> General Plan to redesignate an approximately 0.32 acre parcel from "Open <br /> Space" to "Commercial and Offices", the property is located on the southwest <br /> corner of the intersection of First Street and Stanley Boulevard and is cur- <br /> rently zoned "A" (Agricultural) District, and accompanying Negative <br /> Declaration. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br /> - ll 12-17-85 <br /> <br /> <br />
