Mayor Brandes requested that this <br />information be given extended press coverage. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Consideration of Modifications to Condominium Conversion Ordinance Relatin9 to <br />Rent Adjustments <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his report (SR 85:570) dated November 27, 1985, <br />regarding this matter. He advised that Mr. Mitchell, representing the Del <br />Prado Apartments, has apparently determined not to proceed with the Del Prado <br />condominium conversion, however, Mr. Fish, owner of another apartment complex, <br />wants to present an argument in favor of the modification to permit rent in~ <br />creases at the January 7th meeting. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Wood, that there be no modifications made to the Condominium <br />Conversion Ordinance. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Draft Ordinance and Ballot Wording Related to Proposition 4 <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his report (SR 85:589) dated November 27, 1985, <br />regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Wood, that Resolution No. 85-568, calling a special election for <br />March 4, 1986 regarding initiative ordinance regarding Proposition 4 revenues <br />and related matters, be adopted, and changing the word "municipal library" to <br />"public library" in the ordinance. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding the designation of five persons or <br />organizations as a committee to draft and sign the proposd ballot arguments. <br />Mayor Brandes instructed Councilmembers to submit names to him for <br />consideration. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Mr. Walker stated that a public hearing notice has been received regarding <br />the possible widening of 1-680 south of 1-580 to Fremont, and support of ac- <br />companying negative declaration. After discussion, it was moved by Council- <br />member Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 85- <br />569, supporting the widening of 1-680 south of 1-580 to Fremont, including <br />soundwalls, and approval of accompanying Negative Declaration, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> - 10 - 12-3-85 <br /> <br /> <br />
