The property <br />is located on the north side of Crellin Road, immediately east of the residen- <br />ces on the east side of Sylvaner 'Drive and 600 feet southeast of Chardonnay <br />Drive <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 85:452) dated September 17, 1985, <br />regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br />negative declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Don Beardsley, Land Use, representing. the applicants, advised the <br />rezoning is requested in order to bring the parcels in conformance with the <br />General Plan. He stated he concurs with the staff report and requests approv- <br />al of the application. <br /> <br /> Mr. James Griffin, 3036 Chardonnay Drive, stated he supports the kind of <br />development being presented but has concerns regarding the grading plan. <br /> <br /> Mr. Frank Belecky, 892 Madeira Drive, stated he felt there should be an <br />exit from this property as well as the Texeira property directly out onto <br />Vineyard Avenue. He requested Council to look closely at the grading plan. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br />closed on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Bran- <br />des, that Resolution No. 85-445, determining on the basis of a review of ini- <br />tial environmental study done for this project, that no significant environ- <br />mental impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a <br />negative declaration is appropriate in connection with RZ-85-7, application of <br />the Pleasanton School District and Amador Savings and Loan to rezone an ap- <br />proximately 22.3 acre site from the "P" (Public and Institutional) District to <br />the R-1-6500 (Single-family Residential) District, located on the north side <br />of Crellin Road, immediately east of the residences on the east side of Syl- <br />vaner Drive and 600 feet southeast of Chardonnay Drive, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Bran- <br />des, that Ordinance No. 1218, to be read by title only and waiving further <br /> <br /> 6 - 9-17-85 <br /> <br /> <br />
