Mayor Mercer thanked the homeowners for their conduct and omission of <br />emotionalism which helps facts and figures to be presented in a logical <br />~way. He stated that he feels 216 units was too dense and that the phone <br /> alls he received asked for a reduction on 24 units. He states in regards <br /> o parking that many single family homeowners tend to park in the street <br />~ven though they have a garage to park in. He felt the parking was not an <br />."Assue to him and thanked the architect for doing an excellent job although <br />~e felt it was too dense. He stated that he would like more attention <br />~rawn to the back of the homes on Chestnut. He directed staff to pay <br /> particular attention to replacing the dilapidated parts of the fence. <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that he would have accepted 192 units. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes and seconded by Councilmember <br /> Wood that Resolution No. 85-430, Appeal of a decision of the Design Review <br /> Board approving the application of Stoneson Developmetn Corporation for <br /> design review approval to construct 180 unit apartment complex on an <br /> ~pproximately 13 acre site located on the south side of Stoneridge Drive <br /> ~etween Pleasanton Hill Drive and Springdale Ave., zoning for the property <br /> is RM-25 (Multi-family Residential) District, with the colors changed to <br /> adobe stucco with dark wood colored tiles, be adopted. <br /> <br /> Brian Swift clarified that it is a direction and not a part of the <br /> motion that a minimum of 2 parking spaces per unit be established. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> AP-85-6, Appeal of Pacific Ready Mix of a decision of the Design Review <br /> Board denying Case Z-85-52, an application for design review approval to <br /> construct a cement batch plant and a 352 sq. ft. operations office on an <br /> approximately 1.7 acre site located approximately 400 feet southwest of the <br /> intersection of Boulder Street and Valley Avenue. Zoning for the property <br /> is I-G (General Industrial) District <br /> This item was continued to the October 1, 1985 City Council meeting. <br /> <br /> 9-3-85 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
