Road and any other quarry applications in this vicinity, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Brandes instructed staff to transmit this resolution of opposi- <br />tion to the Board of Supervisors as soon as possible. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />PUD-81-30-29D, Application of Callahan-Pentz Properties for design review ap- <br />proval for a two building, 83,571 sq. ft. research and development/light in- <br />dustrial complex on an approximately 5.0 acre site located at 5751 Gibraltar <br />Drive. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Industria~, <br />Commercial and Office District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 85:370) dated August 6, 1985, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pat O'Brien, representing Callahan Pentz Properties, stated he concurs <br />with the staff report and recommendations. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this matter. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Vice Mayor Brandes declared the public <br />hearing closed on the item. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Wood, that Resolution No. 85-381, approving PUD-81-30-29D, ap- <br />plication of Callahan Pentz Properties for design review approval for a two <br />building, 83,571 sq. ft. research and development/light industrial complex on <br />an approximately 5.0 acre site located at 5751 Gibraltar Drive, subject to all <br />conditions contained in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2674, be adopted. <br />The roll call' vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br />PUD-81-30-30-D, Application of Hacienda Child Development Services for design <br />review approval to construct a one-story, approximately 21,714 sq. ft. <br />childcare facility on an approximately 1.8 acre site, located on the east side <br />of Chabot Drive between Gibraltar Drive and Stoneridge Drive. Zoning for the <br />property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Industrial, Commercial and Offices <br />District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 85:375) dated August 6, 1985, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Self, Hacienda Business Owners Association, representing the ap- <br />plicant, presented a model and design renderings of the proposed project. He <br />also presented color renderings, stating their opinion that it is compatible <br />with surrounding buildings. He stated that the developer will do a test patch <br />on the facility to be sure the color is the one desired, and that Council is <br />invited to view the test.
