He stated that Dillingham has made a slight modification to the <br /> building elevations since preparation of the report. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hear open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gary Gates, representing Dillingham Corporation, 7100 Johnson Drive, <br /> stated it is their intention to have their world headquarters in the Hacienda <br /> Business Park and that they plan to move into the building by September 1986. <br /> He stated they hoped to start construction as soon as possible. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bob Wheatley, representing Gensler Associates, reviewed the design <br />features of the building. He presented renderings showing the slight <br />modifications to building elevations. He advised that adequate parking has <br />been provided for the increase in building size. He stated there has been no <br />change in the landscaping plan. He requested approval of the application. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to the application. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public heaing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Resolution No. 85-347, approving PUD-81-30-28D, application of Dillingham <br />Construction, Inc., for design review for a three story, approximately 117,611 <br />sq. ft. multi-tenant office building on an approximately 6 acre site located <br />on the southwest corner of Inglewood Drive and the Chabot Canal (Site 14B) in <br />the Hacienda Business Park, subject to all conditions contained in Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 2659, and the building elevation modifications as <br />presented, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Appeal by the City Council of a decision of the Design Review Board approvin9 <br />Z-85-106,107; Application of National Car Rental for design review approval to <br />construct an automobile rental facility on an appoximately 1.1 acre site lo- <br />cated on the west side of Owens Court, approximately 750 ft. northwest of <br />Owens Drive and Owens Court. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Industrial, Commercial and Offices District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 85:340) dated July 16, 1985, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Ferreri, 865 Abbie Street, partner of Hopyard Associates, the <br />property owner, stated he concurs with the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Acker, Zone Manager, National Car Rental, stated that fencing is <br />needed to protect their assets as they are self-insured. He stated he agrees <br />to making the fence of black vinyl material and painting the wire black, so <br />that it will be less visible. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br />closed. <br /> <br /> -6- 7-16L85 <br /> <br /> <br />
