Councilmember Wood stated that in today's world there should be a solution to get undergrounding priced lower; it is his opinion that the lines should be undergrounded. He stated that if Route 3 is approved that it should be moved so as not to impact Wente Brothers winery. Mr. McCullough stated the proposed route lines can be varied up to 1,000 feet. Councilmember Mercer expressed concern regarding ripping up of the streets and the height of the towers. Vice Mayor Mohr thanked PG&E for their presentation. She stated the Mayor of Livermore has made a valid suggestion in getting Valley representatives to meet with the PUC and PG&E to work out the most acceptable package for every- one concerned. She advised the Pleasanton City Council is on record in sup- port of preservation of the vineyards. Mr. Tim Trusdale, Eden Housing, stated that Planning Commission has con- sidered and approved the project. He advised the staff report dealt with the three issues that the Planning Commission brought up. Mr. Bob Tucker, Architect, presented the proposed project, and answered questions raised by Council. No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item.
