AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mohr <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Brandes <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1269~ Approval of PUD-84-12-1M, Application of Fal- <br />con Development Compan for a ma~or modification to an a proved development <br />plan to reduce the number of lots, increase the minimum ~ot size, and add a <br />neighborhood park in the 21 acre site located at the eastern terminus of West <br />Las Positas Boulevard <br /> {Intro. 8-5-86, 3-A~es, 2-Absent) <br /> Vice Mayor Mohr stated that Ordinance No. 1269 was introduced on August 5, <br />1986, by a vote of 3-Ayes, 2-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the <br />ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br />that Ordinance No. 1269, approval of PUD-84-]2-]M, application of Falcon <br />Development Company for a major modification to an approved development plan <br />to reduce the number of lots, increase the minimum lot size, and add a neigh- <br />borhood park in the 21 acre site located at the eastern terminus of West Las <br />Positas Boulevard, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mohr <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Brandes <br /> <br />Ado tion of Ordinance No. 1270~ Approval of PUD-85-17~ Ap lication of Pro- <br />met~eus Devel6pment Company for a major modification to a~low for the deVelop- <br />ment of a 456 unit multi-family residential complex, to be located on an ap- <br />proximatel~ 16.3 acre site in the area bounded by Andrews Drive, Owens Drive, <br />Old Santa ~ita Road, and Tassajara Creek <br />(Intro. 8-5-86, 3-Ayes, 2-Absent) <br /> <br />Modification to Lower Income Exemption of Growth Management Program <br /> Vice Mayor Mohr stated that Ordinance No. 1270 was introduced on August 5, <br />1986, by a vote of 3-Ayes, 2-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the <br />ordinance. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 86:361) dated August 19, 1986, regard- <br />ing amendment to Growth Management Program lower income exemption. <br /> <br /> Mr. Joe Callahan, representing Callahan, Sweeney and O'Brien, Inc., stated <br />that with regard to lower income exemption of the Growth Management Program, <br />it is his feeling that the City should encourage high density in the North <br />Pleasanton area where it can mitigate the impacts in business parks. He <br />stated some special considerations are going to have to be given to the busi- <br />ness community because of the excessive burden of the land. He advised that <br />the various assessment district fees imposed on the North Pleasanton area make <br />it much more costly to develop than in other parts of the City. He urged <br />Council to provide incentives to construct high density in the North Pleasan- <br />ton business park area. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Mohr stated she is opposed to using the Tri-Valley median in- <br />come; it most directly affects the lower income units and could prohibit some <br />single parent head-of-household and older persons from being able to rent <br />theunits. <br /> <br /> - 10- 8-19-86 <br /> <br /> <br />
