No action was required or taken by Council on the item. <br /> <br /> Evaluation of Residential Fire Sprinkler Requirements in High Hazard Areas <br /> Chief Hill presented his report (IR 86:59) dated June 25, 1986, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Kenneth Miller, 665 Windmill Lane, stated the requirement of <br /> sprinklers in every room is very costly and he did not feel that it is neces- <br /> sary in view of the requirement for fire retardent roofs. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br /> Mayor Brandes, that sprinkler systems not be required in the bedrooms and <br /> halls of residences in high hazard areas. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Mercer and Mayor Brandes <br /> NOES: Councilmembers Butler and Mohr <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Wood <br /> <br /> 12 - 7-1-86 <br /> <br /> <br />
