Open from 8-5-86, 8-19-86, 9-2-86 and 10-7-86) <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 86:337) dated August 5, 1986, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Phil Smith, President of Pacific Rim Company, stated the project is to <br />be a specialty shopping center with no major anchor tenants. He expects to <br />start construction by April 1, 1987, and be open by Christmas. He stated the <br />proposed development is compatible to surrounding businesses. He advised the <br />traffic studies done show there will only be minor impact. He asked if condi- <br />tion No. 4 relative to bonding requirements could be eliminated since AT&T has <br />been constructed. Mr. Swift advised that last sentence of that condition <br />should be retained.
