237 <br />northeast corner of the intersection of Owens Court and Owens Drive, subject <br />to conditions set forth by the Planning Commission, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None_ <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Discontinue Park Use Area North of Mission Hills Park <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his report (SR 86:463) dated October 22, 1986, <br />regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br />that Resolution No. 86-507, after making the findings that all or any portion <br />of the purported park has not been used by the public for park purposes; that <br />no consideration has been paid for land except by the city; and that no public <br />funds have been expended to improve the land as a park; thereby vacating a <br />portion of Mission Hills Park, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1277, Approval of RZ-86-8, Application of the City <br />of Pleasanton to amend the Municipal Code relating to increas~ the number of <br />illuminated signs permitted for services station uses in the ICommercial) <br />District <br />(Intro. 10-7-86, 3-Ayes, 2-Noes) <br /> Mayor Brandes stated that Ordinance No. 1277 was introduced on October 7, <br />1986, by a vote of 3-Ayes, ~2-Noes, and that it was now in order to adopt the <br />ordinance. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Merce~r~stated he felt additional lighting at service sta- <br />tions is not needed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr that Ordinance No. 1277, approval of <br />RZ-86-8, appliction of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Municipal Code <br />relating to increasing the number of illuminated signs permitted for service <br />station uses in the "C" (Commercial) District, be adopted. <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes stated that because of the lack of a second to the motion, <br />Ordinance No. 1277 will not be adopted. <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1279, Amending Regulation of Massaqe Establishments <br />~nd Services to allow Home Therapy Treatment <br />(Intro. 10-7-86, 4-Ayes, 1-No) <br /> Mayor Brandes stated that Ordinance No. 1279 was introduced on October 7, <br /> <br /> - 11 10-28-86 <br /> <br /> <br />
