It is a unique piece of property and
he feels it still has the ability to be used for that purpose and feel that
low density residential is totally inappropriate. This designation would cre-
ate grading and n~ise problems. He urged Council to allow the zoning to re-
main as it is now.

It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood,
that Parcel 15 Marsh, 17.7 acres remain as general and limited industrial in
the general plan.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes
NOES: None
ABSENT: None

Parcel 16 Heaton
No one in the audience spoke on this item.

It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr,
that Parcel 16 - Heaton, 2.2 acres be designated high density residential in
the general plan.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes
NOES: None
ABSENT: None

Parcel 17 - Western Concrete~ Bromolini, Best, Utility Vault. et al
Mr. John P. Corley, 1056 Division Street, representing Utility Vaulty,
stated the property owners only learned today that the proposed amendment
would affect their property. There concern is that they have just joined in
the Valley Avenue Extension Assessment District and the Utility Vault Company
occupies the property as a 25 year lease , to use it for the manufacturing of
utility vaults. They have been located there for many years because of their
proximity to the gravel pits and to the source of their material. It is an
ideal place for them and they have no intention of leaving. They would like
not to be ultimately zoned commercial office and enter the area being a non-
conforming use. They would like to maintain the industrial zoning they now
have.

It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood,
that Parcel 17 Western Concrete, Bromolini, Best, Utility Vaulty, et al,
52.4 acres remain as general and limited industrial in the general plan.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes
NOES: None
ABSENT: None

Parcel 18 - PG&E
No one in the audience spoke on this item.

It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Butler,
that Parcel 18 - PG&E, 12.3 acres be designated public and institutional in
the general plan.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes
NOES: None
ABSENT: None

- 22 - 9-16-86
