185 <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Parcel 13 Stanley Boulevard <br /> Mr. Brent Wildox, representing his parents at 3988 Stanley Boulevard, <br />stated that although the general plan shows medium density on this section it <br />exists as low density, and'that and some other social circumstances will re- <br />quire comment if upgrading on any remaining parcels of property comes about. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />that Parcel 13 - Stanley Boulevard, 6.7 acres be designated medium density <br />residential and 5.5 acres be designated as high density residential on the <br />general plan. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Parcel 14 - Rose Avenue <br /> Mr. John P. Corley, 1056 Division Street, representing Mayers at the <br />northwest corner of Division and Fair Streets, stated they question the prop- <br />erty fronting on Division Street being included in the package with all of the <br />property off of Rose Avenue. He stated there is interest in high density for <br />part of the area but because of the fact that an additional road would be <br />necessary, it went back to medium density. He stated this is not the case for <br />that property that is in the corner between Rose Avenue and Division Street. <br />He felt it would be appropriate for that property fronting on Division Street <br />to be high density. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lee stated the lots referred t.o were not reviewed by the Planning Com- <br />mission, so Council cannot take any action on this particular matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br />that Parcel 14 - Rose Avenue, 39.0 acres be designated as high density <br />residential. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mercer and Wood <br />NOES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Brandes <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mr. Joseph Madden, 1544 Santa Rita Road, stated he has no financial inter- <br />est in this parcel but recognizing the City's need for affordable housing, he <br />urged Council to designate this area as high density. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that Parcel 14 - Rose Avenue, 39.0 acres be designated as <br />medium density residential in the general plan. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: Councilmembers Mercer and Wood <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Parcel 15 - Marsh <br /> Mr. Jack Smith, 1331B Street, Hayward, partner with Mr. Marsh, stated <br />this property was annexed to the City some years ago, and the City has consis- <br />tently insisted this parcel be zoned general and limited industrial and they <br /> <br /> - 21 - 9-16-86 <br /> <br /> <br />
