CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, <br />be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 4-7-87. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim April 1987 as Child Abuse Prevention Month. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Resolution No. 87-146, denying the claim of Caroline Willjams <br /> for injuries incurred by an alleged faulty pilot light in her kitchen <br /> stove caused a gas leak which lead to her illness; and referring this mat- <br /> ter to the City Attorney for further handling. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1306, amendment to Chapter 11.44, "Removal of <br /> Abandoned Vehicles from Private Property". <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Ordinance No. 1307, approval of PUD-86-18, application of <br /> Oakridge Properties/Valley Medical Associates for development plan approv- <br /> al to construct an approximately 47,720 sq. ft. retail commercial center <br /> to be located on an approximately 3.8 acre site located at the southeast <br /> corner of the intersection of West Las Positas Boulevard and Santa Rita <br /> Road. <br /> <br />f. Adoption of Resolution No. 87-147, denying the claims of Christopher Rubi, <br /> Raymond Rubi, and Felice Rubi in the sum of $1,150,000 for injuries to <br /> Christopher while he was attending Hacienda Child Development Services Day <br /> Care Center; and referring this matter to the City Attorney for further <br /> handling. <br /> <br />g. Adoption of Resolution No. 87-148, denying the claim of Christopher Cam- <br /> marata in the sum of $100,000 for injuries received when Mr. Cammarata, an <br /> adult, fell from the swings located at Muirwood Park; and referring this <br /> matter to the City Attorney for further handling. <br /> <br />h. Adoption of Resolution no. 87-149, denying the claim of William and Lori <br /> Barry in the sum in excess of $200,000, for the wrongful death of their <br /> son Kevin who was killed in an auto accident on a portion of Foothill Road <br /> outside of Pleasanton's city limits; and referring this matter to the City <br /> Attorney for further handling. <br /> <br />i. Adoption of Resolution No. 87-150, denying the claim of Kevin Sullivan in <br /> the sum of $25,000.00, for alleged unnecessary force during his arrest on <br /> December 19, 1986; and referring this matter to the City Attorney for fur- <br /> ther handling. <br /> <br />j. Adoption of Resolution No. 87-151, denying the claim of Melvin and Pearl <br /> Mosier in the sum of $50,000.00, alleging wrongful eviction from Kottinger <br /> Place; and referring this matter to the City Attorney for further <br /> handling. <br /> <br />k. Adoption of Resolution No. 87-152, urging the State to maintain local <br /> educational funding equal to the national average per pupil. <br /> <br />1.
