NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer appointed Councilmember Wilson to work with City st'aff and <br /> the School District regarding possible purchase of the school site property. <br /> <br /> Adoption of 1987-88 through 1989-90 Three Year Capital Improvement Program <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 87:139) dated April 7, 1987, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wil- <br /> son, that Resolution No. 87-142, approving the Three Year Capital Improvement <br /> Program {1987-88 through lgBg-gO), be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 1139 Kottinger Exemption from Vineyard Avenue Moratorium <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 87:144) dated April 7, 1987, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br />CO Mr. Richard Miller, 1085 MacArthuhur Boulevard, San Leandro, stated this <br />~ parcel is vacant land and would be an in-fill project. He stated that traffic <br /> from this development would probably use Kottinger Avenue rather than Vineyard <br />~'~ Avenue. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roger Manning, Land Planning Consultant, stated that Mr. Miller builds <br /> an excellent home; he felt the project would be an asset to the City and <br /> should be started and finished before Kottinger Ranch development is started. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br /> Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 87-143, denying the request of <br /> Richard Miller that 1139 Kottinger Drive be exempted from the Vineyard Avenue <br /> moratorium, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> - AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Approval of Agreement with the U. S. Postal Service for Off-site Improvements <br /> in Conjunction with the Post Office Parking Lot Improvements <br /> Mr. Elliott presented his report (SR 87:129) dated April 7, 1987, regard- <br /> ing this matter. He stated that last year when Council approved the report <br /> submitted by the Planning Commission regarding the Pleasanton Post Office <br /> parking improvements, he had estimated the City's portion of the cost at ap- <br /> proximately $50,000.00. It now appears as if those costs will be $65,000- <br /> 75,000. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding whether or not the entrance to the <br /> Library should be widened since the Library will be moving to a new location <br /> in two years. Mr. Walker explained this improvement is a part of the upgrad- <br /> ing plan for the park in any event. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wil- <br /> son, that Resolution No. 87-144, appropriating $33,000.00 from the traffic <br /> <br /> - 19 4-7-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
