429 <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearin9 Open on this item, and continued <br />it to the meetin9 of March 3, 1987, 8:00 p.m., in the P]easanton Counci] Cham- <br />bers, at the request of the appellant. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Enhanced Elevations in connection with PUD-80-2-4D, Application of West States <br />Development'Compan and Bernal Avenue Associates for design review approval <br />for an approximately 7,860 sq. ft. daycare facil <br /> ity, a freestanding monument <br />sign, and related improvements~ to be located on an approximately 1.2 acre <br />site located on the north side of Koll Center Parkway approximately 250 feet <br />west of the intersection of Valley Avenue and Koll Center Parkway <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 87:83) dated February 17, 1987, regard- <br />ing this matter, stating that staff is continuing to work with the applicant <br />in determining the appropriate design revisions. He advised that final re- <br />vised building elevations will be presented at the meeting of March 3, 1987. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared this item continued to the meeting of March 3, 1987, <br />at the request of staff and the applicant. <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1297, Requiring Existing Dwelling Units to be Retro- <br />fitted with Spark Arrestors in Certain Circumstances <br />(Intro. 2-3-87, 4-Ayes, 1-No) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1297 was introduced on February 3, <br />1987, by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-No, and that it was now in order to adopt the <br />ordinance. <br /> <br /> Council discussed ensued on how the ordinance would be enforced. They <br />instructed staff to notify all real property brokerage firms and title compa- <br />nies of the ordinance requirement as soon as it becomes effective. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Ordinance No. 1297, requiring existing dwelling units to be retrofitted <br />with spark arrestors in certain circumstances, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Wilson <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Request for Annexation of Approximately 1,345 feet of Martin Avenue between <br /> Mr. Elliott presented his report {SR 8 ~ dated February 17, 1987, <br />regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Butler, directing staff to prepare a formal resolution request- <br />ing the annexation of approximately 1,345 feet of Martin Avenue between Mohr <br />Avenue and Trenery Drive (Bas Homes, Inc.), and an application to LAFCO; di- <br />recting staff to notify the adjacent property owners of the meeting when Coun- <br />cil will be considering this annexation request; and notifying the applicant <br />{Bas Homes, Inc.) that he is required to prepare all the necessary documents <br />and pay all the required fees. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br /> - 7 2-17-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
