377 <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Status Report on Mohr House <br /> Mayor Mercer declared this item continued to the meeting of February 3, <br />1987, at the request of staff. <br /> <br />Tri-Valley Community Television Corporation Request for Funds <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 87>20) dated January 6, 1987, regard- <br />ing this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer asked where the money will be spent. Councilmember Brandes, <br />Liaison to the Tri-Valley Community Television Corporation Board, advised the <br />money will be used for ~capital. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated there are three seats vacant on the Tri-Valley Com- <br />munity Television Corporation Board, and he asked how these vacancies are fil- <br />led. Ms. Michal Dittrich, reprsenting Viacom Cablevision, stated these vacan- <br />cies are alternate-at-large seats, and that an application may be received <br />from the office of the City Manager in Livermore. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 87-19, approving the City forward <br />$45,000 to the Tri-Valley Community Television Corporation; requesting the <br />Corporation to provide Council with a priority list of facilities and/or <br />equipment to be purchased, and requesting to be advised with the other three <br />cities have paid their capital funds, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Appointment Process <br /> Mayor Mercer presented his memorandum dated December 18, 1986, setting <br />forth a policy whereby the Mayor would make appointments to the various <br />boards, commissions and committee within the City. He stated the policy would <br />be to open any vacancy to the residents of the City; he would then review the <br />application and interview the candidates and make a recommendation for Council <br />approval. Council concurred with this policy. Councilmember Brandes request- <br />ed that a copy of each resume be provided to Councilmembers before the inter- <br />view session so they might be able to comment on any application to the Mayor. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> Mr. Walker presented the City Council Calendar for the information of the <br />Council. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 10:05 p.m., <br />to discuss the Barbara Ross Case, the Baldino Case, acquisition of property on <br />Vervais Avenue for right-of-way purposes, and offer for sale of property by <br />San Francisco City and County Water Department. <br /> <br /> 21 1-6-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
