h. Adoption of Resolution No. 87-363, denial of the claim of Eric M. Arteaga in the sum of $250,000.00, for alleged emotional distress from the death of a family member that he felt Pleasanton police should not have allowed to continue to drive his vehicle after he was stopped for speeding; and referring this matter to the City attorney for further handling. i. Adoption of Resolution No. 87-364, approving the purchase of a new receiver to monitor the City's fire, burglary and robbery alarms; amending the police department budget by adding $21,000.00 for this purchase; and authorizing an increase of subscriber charges from $105.00 to $180.00 per year for users of alarms connected directly to the police department. j.
