No action was <br /> required or taken by Council on the item. <br /> <br /> Deferred Construction of the BART Pleasanton-Dublin Park/Ride Project <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (IR 87:78) dated August 4, 1987, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer explained that BART will not proceed with the Dublin portion <br /> of the park/ride lot because of a pending suit against them by the City of <br /> Dublin for reimbursement of traffic improvements. After discussion, Mayor <br /> Mercer instructed staff to prepare a letter requesting a meeting with BART <br /> officials to discuss construction of the BART Pleasanton-Dublin park/ride lot. <br /> <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Emergency Services Network of Alameda County Request for Funds <br /> Mayor Mercer presented his memorandum regarding this matter~ <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wil- <br /> son, that Resolution No. 87-350, approving a funding request of $1,500.00 to <br /> the Emergency Services Network of Alameda County, enabling the ESN to continue <br /> its coordination, advocacy, and planning activities on behalf of the homeless <br /> and hungry, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Request by BART for City to take position on potential mass transit link to <br /> proposed Superconducting Super-Collider Project <br /> <br /> 4 - 8-4-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
