it to the meeting of August 4, 1987, 8:00 p.m., in the Pleasanton Council <br />Chambers, at the request of the appellant. <br /> <br />PUD-87-16, Applicatioq of the City of Pleasanton for development plan approval <br />to allow the construction of an eight million gallon water reservoir, pumping <br />stations, drainage ways and structures, transmission lines, and other related <br />improvements, to be located generally in the area of an approximately four <br />acre site located approximately 1,300 feet northeast of the intersection of <br />Sycamore Road and Alisal Street. Zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Low Density Residential/Open Space District <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 87:301) dated July 7, 1987, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr abstained from participation in this item due to Con- <br />flict of Interest. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br />negative declaration. <br /> <br />No one in the audience spoke in favor of the application. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mike Harris, 986 Sycamore Road, stated he is opposed to having the <br />tramsmission line go down the center of his property; he advised he could go <br />down either side and acclmplish the same purpose. He felt the $1 million fig- <br />ure quoted to do this was inaccurate. <br /> <br /> Mr. Harvey Levine, 4637 Chabot Drive, representing the Lund Ranch, stated <br />he has been working with the City to work out details of the proposal. He <br />stated the staff report cites approximately four acres for the proposed reser- <br />voir. Mr. Swift stated the correct amount should be 2.34 acres. Mr. Levine <br />stated that Planning Commission added conditions; he asked if the landscape <br />plans would be appealable. Mr. Swift advised that all conditions are <br />appealable. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing <br />closed on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wil- <br />son, that Resolution No. 87-291, determining on the basis of a review of ini- <br />tial environmental study done for this project, that no significant environ- <br />mental impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a <br />negative declaration is appropriate in connection with PUD-87-16, application <br />of the City of Pleasanton for development plan approval to allow the construc- <br />tion of an eight million gallon water reservoir, pumping stations, drainage <br />ways and structures, transmission lines, and other related improvements, to be <br />located generally in the area of an approximately 2.34 acre site located ap- <br />proximately 1,300 feet northeast of the intersection of Sycamore Road and <br />Alisal Street, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br />ABSTAINED:Councilmember Mohr <br /> <br />225 <br /> <br />- 9 7-7-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
