205 <br /> approval for a commercial/retail center at the intersection of Stanley <br /> Boulevard and Bernal Avenue, to September 1, 1987, 8:00 p.m., in the Pleasan- <br /> ton Council Chambers. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, and Wilson <br /> NOES: Mayor Mercer <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> Consideration of matters relatin9 to HODAG Application for Senior Citizen <br /> Housin9 <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his memorandum dated Jun 11, 1987, regarding this <br /> matter. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding amount of grant and length of lease. <br /> Mr. Tim Trusdale stated the total figure allows for unexpected costs, and that <br /> the lease is for fifty years but can be less if desired and is so defined in <br /> the documentation. <br /> <br />CO It was moved by Councilmember Wilson, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />~ that Resolution No. 87-272, authorizing submittal of an application to the <br />~_~ Department of Housing and Urban Development and execution of all implementing <br /> documents in connection therewith for funding under the Housing Development <br />'D Grant Program for the Senior Citizen housing project, be adopted. <br />m The roll call vote was as follows: <br />~ AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wilson, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br /> that Resolution No. 87-273, authorizing the lease of a city-owned site upon <br /> the award of a housing development grant, authorizing the use of the low in- <br /> come housing fund for the senior housing project, and reaffirming Resolution <br /> No. 85-47, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Request for Extension of Sewer Permits on Meyer Center <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his report (SR 87:263) dated June 16, 1987, <br /> regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Vince Wong, Architect representin9 Kroll CM+, Inc., stated that the <br /> first phase of their development has been completed but because of the poor <br /> rental market at this time they are unable to continue with the second phase <br /> of the project and are requesting a two year extension of an existing sewer <br /> connection permit sold by DSRSD on June 8, 1984. He stated the owner is com- <br /> mitted to securing the appropriate building permits for each of the four <br /> building no later than June 8, 1989, and will further commit to the payment of <br /> additional fees at the time the building permits are issued. <br /> <br /> 11 6-16-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
