No action was required or taken by Council on the <br />item. <br /> <br />Minor Modification to PUD-87-4-1M, Ferreri and Matteson <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (IR 87:117) dated December 15, 1987, <br />regarding this matter. Mayor Mercer stated he felt the changes relative to <br />number of bedrooms, elimination of tennis courts, and no additional parking <br />constituted a major modification; he requested this item be appealed for fur- <br />ther consideration. Council concurred. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br />Main/Bernal/Sunol Intersection <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 87:551) dated December 15, 1987, <br />regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Ms. Sharon Hines, 780 Main Street, expressed appreciation to the Planning <br />Commission and City Council for their willingness to reconsider this matter. <br />She stated that businesses in the south end of town need traffic accessibility <br />and that the progress to date has had serious negatives. She stated that <br />there is also need for traffic on all of Main Street to encourage business. <br />She urged clear communications during development; she requested the Downtown <br />Association send its members minutes of all meetings as well as a quarterly <br />financial statement. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bill Hirst, 478 Ewing Drive, stated that as a downtown property owner <br />and interested citizen he felt that a left turn should be allowed.
