No action was required or taken by Council on the item. <br /> <br />Minor Modification to PUD-83-16-6M, Kaufman and Broad <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (IR 87:87) dated September 1, 1987, regard- <br />ing this matter. ~o action was required or taken by Council on the item. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br />Request from Pleasanton Mobile Homeowners Association to Stabilize Mobile Home <br />Rents <br /> Mayor Mercer stated this item was placed on the agenda at the request of <br />the Pleasanton Mobile Homeowners Association, and that it was now in order to <br />take public testimony relative to the matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fred Stemerick, representing the Pleasanton Mobile Homeowners Associa- <br />tion, stated there are four mobile home parks in Pleasanton with 408 units. <br />He stated that mobile home space rent has increased significantly over the <br />past several years and the mobile homeowners are requesting an ordinance to <br />stabilize space rent. They are asking for a limit of 3% or 60% of the percent <br />change in the consumer price index, provided that no rent increase of more <br />than 6% may be imposed. He stated that mobile home park tenants want to con- <br />tinue their unique style of living but if space rents continue to be increased <br />some will be forced to look for others places to live, which will be costly <br />and inconvenient. He advised that tenants of mobile homes cause no problems <br />to the city in any way, and should be allowed the opportunity to remain in <br /> <br /> - 4 - 9-1-87 <br /> <br /> <br />
