339 <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding the establishment of a three-way stop <br /> sign on Foothill Road at Bernal Avenue. Mr. Swift advised this area has not <br /> been formally annexed to the City at this time; it is in the process but has <br /> not been finalized. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wilson, and sconded by Councilmember Bran- <br /> des, that Resolution No. 87-396, establishing a three-way stop sign on Foot- <br /> hill Road at Bernal Avenue when annexation proceedings have been finalized at <br /> this location, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br /> ' NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that he has received a letter from Bruce Fiedler, <br /> resigning from the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners but to his moving <br /> from the City. Mayor Mercer instructed staff to advertise for this vacancy <br /> with a deadline of 30 days for submitting applications. He also instructed <br /> staff to write a letter of thanks to Mr. Fiedler for his service in this <br /> capacity. <br /> <br />CC) CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br />~' Mr. Walker presented the City Council Calendar for the information of the <br />~ Council. <br />~ EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />m Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 11:15 p.m., <br />~ to discuss the Shirley Sperber Workers Compensation case, and the City v. <br /> Michael F. Harris Eminent Domain Proceeding. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 11:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> Shirley Sperber Workers Compensation Case <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember But- <br /> ler, that Resolution No. 87-406, approving settlement of the Shirley Sperber <br /> " Workers Compensation case, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 11:35 p.m., it was moved by Councilmem- <br /> ber Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that the meeting be adjourned <br /> to meet again in Regular Session on September 15, 1987, 8:00 p.m., in the <br /> Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />_ ~S~R'.
