AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />John Caroline Request to Add Low Income Housing Units to Existing <br />Projects <br /> Councilmember Mohr abstained from 'participation in this item <br />because of Conflict of Interest. <br /> <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his report (SR 88:15) dated January <br />19, 1988, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wilson, and <br />seconded by Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 88-37, ap- <br />proval of the request from John Caroline to add units to his ex- <br />isting growth management exemption agreement for the Arroyo Vil- <br />lage project, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Wilson, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAINED:Councilmember Mohr <br /> <br />Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors of Pleasanton Link~ Inc. <br /> Mayor Mercer declared this item continued to the meeting of <br />February 2, 1988, at the request of staff. <br /> <br />City Council Review of Appeal of Cardroom License Revocation for <br />Pastime Pool (Jay Nelson) <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his report (SR 88:18) dated January <br />19, 1988, regarding this matter. He set forth the order of <br />proceedings. <br /> <br /> At this point, testimony was taken from those involved. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Coun- <br />cilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 88-38, making the following <br />findings of fact: <br /> <br />1. Jay Nelson, the part owner of Pastime Pool, was present on <br /> the morning of December 29, 1987 with three male companions. <br /> <br />2. The doors to Pastime Pool were locked and the four men were <br /> playing poker. <br /> <br />3. One of the men was an employee of the bar. The other two men <br /> were patrons of the establishment. <br /> <br />4. There were poker chips by each individual player and playing <br /> cards on the table. <br /> <br />5. The men were playing a card game not permitted by City <br /> ordinance. <br /> <br /> - 16 - 1-19-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
