111 <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the continued public hearing open on <br />the item. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Ferreri, representing Canyon Meadows, stated he <br />concurs with the staff report and favors Alternative 1 of that <br />report. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to the item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the <br />public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 88-398, approving <br />reimbursement agreement for Canyon Meadows off-site improvements; <br />and authorizing the Mayor to execute the agreement, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />item 9b <br />PUD-85-15-2D, Application of Currin Construction Company and <br />Timm, Inc., for development plan approval for a 95-parcel <br />residential project to be located on an approximately 262 acre <br />site located on the west side of Foothill Road approximately 3100 <br />feet south of the intersection of Bernal Avenue and Foothill Road. <br />Zoninq for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Low <br />Density Residential/Open Space District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 88:403) dated August 16, <br />1988, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ted Fairfield, representing the applicants, concurred <br />with the staff report, adding that the application is in <br />compliance with the planned unit development requirements. He <br />reviewed the new plan and emphasized the following points: reduced <br />seismic constraints, middle bench is now opened up adding more <br />open space, there is one entrance instead of two allowing for <br />better control of access to the park, the second access will be <br />available for emergency vehicle access; the northerly cul-de-sac <br />has been angled slightly differed to give more greenway, the <br />southerly end has been flipped over because of topography; the <br />park access road has been realigned because of earth movement; the <br />pool and cabana area have been expanded, and there is potential <br />for a driving range; and there is an improved trailway system. He <br />stated there are many conditions and he agrees with all with one <br />exception - he would like to delete the issue of drainage and <br />ownership of the drainage system. He felt the system should be <br />the responsibility of the City since much of the water is really <br />City water, and also homeowner associations are not capable to <br /> <br /> - 10 - <br /> <br /> 8-16-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
