469 <br /> for 1989 to Amador Valley Savings and Loan project, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mohr and Wilson <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSTAINED:Councilmember Butler and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br />Request for Stop Sign at Denker and Inglewood <br /> Mr. Nick Nicholsky, 6408 Inglewood Drive, presented a petition to Council, <br />signed by 92 residents, which read as follows: <br /> <br /> "We, the undersigned, request that a stop sign be installed on the <br /> Southeast corner of the intersection at Denker and Inglewood, <br /> Pleasanton, Ca." <br /> <br />Mr. Nicholsky stated staff previously looked at this intersection and recom- <br />mended against installeding stop signs, however, traffic has increased and it <br />is a very dangerous crossing for children. <br /> <br /> Mr. Paul Megler, 4410 Denker Drive, stated he concurs with the previous <br />speaker; this is a dangerous intersection and he would like two stop signs at <br />this location. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated this is a dangerous intersection and he was <br />prepared to make a motion to have the stop signs installed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Mayor Mercer referred this matter to the Staff Traffic <br />Committee for review and recommendation. <br /> <br />No Parking Restrictions During Fair <br /> Mr. Thurman Caudill, Augustine Street, stated the "No Parking" restric- <br />tions on his street during the Fair created hardship for him and other neigh- <br />bors in the area. He requested that the restriction be changed from 24 hours <br />per day to between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Mayor Mercer authorized staff to make whatever changes <br />to the no parking restriction during the Fair as seemed suitable and appropri- <br />ate to accommodate Mr. Caudill. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />item 9a <br />Application of the City of Pleasanton for adoption of plans and policies <br />relating to the TMI Specific Plan Area~ an approximately 155 acre site located <br />generally east of Foothill Road, north of Bernal Avenue, and west of Inter- <br />state 680 <br />(Contd. Open from 4-5-88 and 4-19-88) <br /> Mr. Swift presented his memorandum dated June 21, 1988, transmitting his <br />original report (SR 88:168) dated April lg, 1988, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the continued public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Don Rolph, land planner representing TMI, presented a conceptual draw- <br />ing of the plan, emphasizing the following major elements: 1-680 and Bernal <br />Avenue interchange is relocated; Bernal Avenue is widened to four lanes; addi- <br />tional bridge over Arroyo; Foothill Road is widened and realigned to allow two <br /> <br /> 6 - 6-21-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
