437 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 21, 1988 <br /> <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Mercer and members of the City Council met at 7:00 p.m., to discuss <br />-- labor relations and Mosier litigation. <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to <br /> order at 7:30 p.m., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br /> PRESENTATION TO PETER D. MacDONALD <br /> Mayor Mercer presented on behalf of the City Council a plaque to Peter <br /> MacDonald, City Attorney who is resigning effective July 7, 1988, commending <br /> him for his outstanding service to the City and community since July 6, 1982. <br /> Mr. MacDonald thanked the Council for the opportunity of serving in this <br /> capacity. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as fol- <br /> lows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer were <br /> present. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Swift, <br /> Director of Planning and Community Development, Mr. Elliott, Director of <br /> Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Bocian, Assistant City Manager, and Ms. Bengt- <br /> son, Director of Parks and Community Services, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that the following item be removed from the agenda: <br /> <br /> item 13b- Consider Introduction of Ordinance Reinstating Exemption for Low and <br /> Moderate Income Housing to the Growth Management Program. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker requested that the following items be continued: <br /> <br /> item 9c - GP-88-3, Application of Pleasanton Joint School District to amend <br /> the Land Use Element designation of the General Plan from Public and <br /> Institutional to Medium Density Residential and Commercial and <br /> Offices for an approximately four acre site located on the east side <br /> of First Street, between Abbie Street and Bernal Avenue, and accom- <br /> panying Negative Declaration; continued to the meeting of December <br /> 20, 1988. <br /> <br /> item gh - PUD-88-5, Application of Spieker Partners for Planned Unit Develop- <br /> ment rezoning and development plan approval to construct an approxi- <br /> mately 65,348 sq. ft. commercial/service commercial complex to be <br /> located on an approximately 8.4 acre site located on the west side <br /> of Rosewood Drive, approximately 600 feet north of the intersection <br /> of Santa Rita Road and Rosewood Drive, and accompanying Negative <br /> Declaration; continued to the meeting of July 5, 1988. <br /> <br /> - 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
