411 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> DECEMBER 20, 1988 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the <br />City Council to order at 7:30 p.m., and then led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is <br />recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, <br />and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. <br />Roush, City Attorney, Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development, Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works and <br />Utilities, Mr. Smith, Director of Building Inspection, and Mr. <br />Balch, Sergeant, Police Department, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker advised that the following items have been removed <br />from the agenda: <br /> <br />item 4k - Review of Bids and Award of Contract for Phase I of the <br /> Operations Service Center Pre-engineered Metal <br /> Buildings <br /> <br />item 9h - GP-88-3, Application of Pleasanton Joint School District <br /> to amend the Land Use Element designation of the General <br /> Plan from Public and Institutional to Medium Density <br /> Residential and Commercial and Offices for an <br /> approximately four acre site located on the east side of <br /> First Street, between Abbie Street and Bernal Avenue, <br /> and accompanying Negative Declaration <br /> <br />item 12a- Request for Annexation of Approximately 2.07 Acres <br /> located on the South Side of Sycamore Road West of Amber <br /> Lane (Pioneer Investment) <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker stated he received a request this date from Mr. <br />John Corley, attorney for Frank Auf der Maur, asking that item 4c <br />- Adoption of Ordinance No. 1391, Approval of PUD-88-12, <br />Application of Frank Auf der Maur for development plan approval to <br />develop ten parcels and related improvements for service <br />commercial uses to be located on an approximately 38 acre site <br />located generally in the area south of the intersection of <br />Bernal/Valley Avenues and Stanley Boulevard, be continued to the <br />meeting of January 3, 1989, to allow for further discussion <br />regarding the added condition requiring landscaping improvements <br />in the amount of $39,000.00.
