333 <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes <br /> <br /> SWEARING IN OF MAYOR, COUNCILMEMBERS, AND TREASURER <br /> Mr. Walker administered the Oath of Office to Kenneth R. <br /> Mercer, Mayor of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated it is an honor to be relected Mayor. He <br /> thanked the people on his Campaign Committee, the Pleasanton City <br /> Employees Association and Pleasanton Firefighters for their <br /> support, and his wife and daughter for their efforts and support. <br /> He stated he looks forward to two more years as Mayor. He thanked <br /> the other Councilmembers for their support, and stated he looks <br /> forward to Mr. Tarver being on the Council. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker administered the Oath of Office to Karin Mohr, <br /> Councilmember of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr expressed her appreciation to those who <br /> worked on her campaign committee, the financial contributors, and <br /> the door knockers; without them she would not have had a <br /> successful campaign. She also thanked the voters; she appreciated <br /> their vote of confidence. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker administered the Oath of Office to Robert E. <br /> Butler, Councilmember of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler, stated one cannot go through an <br /> election by themselves; it takes a great deal of work and effort <br /> by many people. He thanked his campaign committee, his wife and <br /> four grown children who knocked on doors for him, and to everyone <br /> who voted for him. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker administered the Oath of Office to Ben Tarver, <br /> Councilmember of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Tarver stated it is an honor and privilege to <br /> finally sit in the seat as Councilmember. He thanked his family <br /> and campaign committee. He stated he looks forward to working <br /> with the City Council and hopes to live up to the voters <br /> expectations. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker administered the Oath of Office to Nancy D'Arcy, <br /> Treasurer of the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 5:45 p.m., Mayor Mercer <br /> adjourned the Special Meeting, to meet again in Regular Session on <br /> December 6, 1988, 7:30 p.m., in the Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> CITY CLERK <br />ES R.
