Mr. Roush was instructed to have as much <br />information available as possible regarding this matter on <br />December 6th, and any additional information to be made available <br />on January 3rd. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wilson, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, to open the public hearing regarding the <br />redevelopment plan and final environmental impact report, take <br />public testimony, then continue the item to January 3, 1989, 7:30 <br />p.m., in the Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wilson, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wilson stated he is grateful to the City <br />Council for having appointed him to the two year term that became <br />vacant in 1986. He stated he has attempted to serve the City well <br />and to the best of his ability. It has been his pleasure to work <br />with the Council and City staff. He congratulated Ben Tarver on <br />his high vote count at the present time for the Council seat. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Ms. Birdie Bianchi, 4329 Railroad Avenue, presented a copy of <br />a brochure that was passed out during the election which included <br />the names of all the incumbent Councilmembers stating that a <br />change is needed. She asked if this is Councilmember's Brandes' <br />resignation. Councilmember Brandes replied no comment. <br /> <br /> Mr. Leo Heckathorn, 4202 Stanley Boulevard, read an article <br />that was recently published in the Herald newspaper regarding <br />Joyce Getty's building on Main Street and the legislation relative <br />to earthquake requirements. <br /> <br /> Ms. Jackie Ross, 668 Orofino Court, requested Council to <br />have staff check on the elevations in Village Meadows behind her <br />house; she stated the elevations are higher than she had expected <br />and what she thought Council had approved. She asked that the <br />developer be required to abide by the plan. Mayor Mercer <br />instructed staff to investigate this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Thurman Caudill, Augustine Street, asked when the <br />redevelopment plan grew from 385 acres to 500 acres because he had <br />been told the acreage couldn't be changed. He was concerned that <br />the Agency can do anything it wants to with the plan at any time. <br />Mayor Mercer advised Mr. Caudill that this subject should be <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> 11-15-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
