She stated this one acre parcel is
contiguous to the City limits, the City sewer and water is close
to the front of the property, and the City Fire Station is only
two minutes away. She stated that her mother recently was told
her well water was unfit to drink. Mrs. McMillion stated it is
her intention to build their family home on the parcel with her
mother and would request PUD-Low or Medium Density Residential
District zoning. She advised she talked to the neighbors and they
are not opposed to the annexation.

Mr. John Corley, Trenery Drive, stated he applied for
annexation previously but was told he should bring some of his
neighbors in on the annexation proceedings. He stated there are
five property owners now requesting annexation; everyone except
the Dawes and Montgomery properties. He expressed concern
regarding the staff report, he felt it had been written without
the benefit of Planning staff and review of the Stoneridge
Specific Plan. He stated this annexation will not create an
island. He stated he wants to be annexed and be a part of the
planning process and a part of the City. He urged Council to
start annexation proceedings on the 21 acres; LAFCO will have the
ultimate decision as to whether the Dawes and Montgomery

- 11 - 11-1-88
