He added the park <br />improvements are needed for the children in the area. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 88-503, authorizing <br />staff to enter into negotiations with the Foothill Homeowners <br />Association for the purpose of developing an agreement for <br />transferring ownership and maintenance responsibilities for <br />Foothill Knolls Park from the Foothill Knolls Homeowners <br />Association to the City and for the City to complete certain <br />improvements to the park desired by the homeowners in return for a <br />$70,000 contribution by the Foothill Homeowners Association over a <br />five year time period, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Wilson, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />item 13a <br />Resolution Delegatinq Certain Authority to City Authority to City <br />Attorney Reqardinq Tort Claims <br /> Mr. Roush presented his report (SR 88:489) dated October 18, <br />1988, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Brandes, that Resolution No. 88-504, delegating <br />certain authority to the City Attorney regarding tort claims, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYESL Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Wilson, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Mohr <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> Mr. Walker presented the City Council Calendar for the <br />information of the Council. <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting to a Closed Session at 9:50 <br />p.m., to discuss the case of Caroline Williams vs. City of <br />Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 9:55 p.m. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 9:55 p.m., it was moved by <br />Councilmember Wilson, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br /> - 17 - <br /> <br /> 10-18-88 <br /> <br /> <br />
