Mr. Swift advised that the <br />color has not yet been approved. Councilmember Tarver requested <br />that the color be brought to City Council for approval. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Howard Mendenhall asked why there is a delay on the <br />soundwall on the east side of 1-680. He stated the residents in <br />this area met with staff last September and were led to believe <br />the soundwall would be completed by this time. He stated it seems <br />there are 7-8 homeowners who do not want the soundwall and are <br />holding up the project to the detriment of the majority of the <br />residents in favor of the soundwall. <br /> <br /> Mr. Elliott stated that approximately 40 property owners are <br />involved; one is totally in opposition to the project and another <br />wants to be paid for his portion of the land dedication. Mr. <br />Elliott advised that the soundwall is being financed by Caltrans <br />but the City is doing the actual design. The City thought there <br /> <br /> - 8 - 3-21-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
