425 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> OF <br /> THE MEETING <br /> OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> MARCH 21, 1989 <br /> <br />7:00 P.M. - CLOSED SESSION <br /> Mayor Mercer and members of the City Council met in closed <br />session to discuss pending litigation. <br /> <br />7:30 P.M. - REGULAR MEETING <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth R. Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the <br />City Council to order at 7:30 p.m., and then led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is <br />recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, <br />Tarver, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. Walker, City Manager, <br />Mr. Roush, City Attorney, Mr. Swift, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development, Mr. Elliott, Director of Public Works and <br />Utilities, Mr. Bocian, Assistant City Manager, and Ms. Bengtson, <br />Director of Parks and Community Services, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker advised that the following items would be removed <br />from the Consent Calendar at the request of staff: <br /> <br />item 41 - Review of Bids and Award of Contract for the Cross-Town <br /> Interceptor Sewer, Project No. 872066 <br /> <br />item 4o - Approval of Plans and Specifications for Foothill Road <br /> Booster Pump Station No. 1. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker presented his memorandum dated March 21, 1989, <br />requesting that the Minutes of March 7, 1989 be amended on items <br />6d, 6e, and 6f, to show that no vote was taken on any of the three <br />appointments as reflected on these items. He stated that a <br />resolution to add these items to this agenda will be needed on the <br />basis that they are items which arose after the agenda was <br />posted. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Tarver, that Resolution No. 89-122, adding the <br />following item to the agenda, which arose after the agenda was <br />posted: <br /> <br />item 6c - Appointment to the Alternate Planning Commission <br />Position, Housing Authority Commission Appointment, and <br />Appointment to Library Commission. <br /> <br /> - 1 - 3-21-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
