465 <br /> <br /> On the basis of a review of an initial environmental study <br />done for this project, that no significant environmental impact <br />would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a <br />negative declaration is appropriate in connection with RZ-88-12, <br />application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone an approximately <br />one acre site to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density <br />Residential District, an approximately twenty acre site to the PUD <br />(Planned Unit Development)-Low Density Residential District, and <br />an approximately ten acre site to the PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development)-Medium/High Density Residential District located <br />generally in the area on both sides of Trenery Drive approximately <br />600 feet west of the intersection of Trenery Drive and Martin <br />Drive, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 89-11, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> After finding that the proposed zoning districts are <br />consistent with the goals and policies of the General Plan, it was <br />moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />that Ordinance No. 1395, to be read by title only and waiving <br />further reading thereof, approving RZ-88-12, application of the <br />City of Pleasanton to prezone an approximately one acre site to <br />the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density Residential <br />District, an approximately twenty acre site to the PUD (Planned <br />Unit Development)-Low Density Residential District, and an <br />approximately ten acre site to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)- <br />Medium/High Density Residential District located generally in the <br />area on both sides of Trenery Drive approximately 600 feet west of <br />the intersection of Trenery Drive and Martin Avenue, be <br />introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />item 9c <br />RZ-88-7, Application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the <br />Municipal Code relatinq to the provisions for siqns in the <br />Downtown Revitalization District <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 89:01) dated January 3, <br />1989, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mike Cooper, 200 Rose Avenue, representing the Chamber of <br />Commerce, stated the Chamber supports the proposed revisions to <br />the Downtown Revitalization District Sign Ordinance with the <br />following exceptions: (1) definition of window sign - they <br />recommend that this be modified to include any interior signs <br />which are clearly visible from the sidewalk or street, but are <br />within three feet of the window; (2) temporary signs - they agree <br /> <br /> - 10 - 1-3-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
