He explained that he <br />was concerned about the use rather than the architecture and feels <br />that there may be more information about the use than was <br />presented at that meeting. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Butler, and seconded by Mr. Brandes, that <br />Resolution 89-325 be adopted, approving the reconsideration of <br />PUD-85-8-4D, Retail Commercial Complex in Hacienda Business Park. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver, and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> At this point, Mr. Mercer mentioned that he had received some <br />calls regarding the senior housing project. Some applicants <br />apparently did not understand how the lottery would be done and <br />needed additional clarification or information in the matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brandes brought out an issue on the number of lanes along <br />Santa Rita Road. He mentioned that coming from the freeway, the <br />road went from three lanes to two lanes past Rosewood Drive, then <br />back to three lanes by the time people were preparing to turn into <br />the Valley Memorial complex. He suggested that there be three <br />lanes all the way down the road. He also suggested that a four- <br />way instead of a two-way stop sign be put up at the intersection <br />of Paseo Santa Cruz and Calle Altamira. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer recommended that this be put on the August 1st <br />Agenda. <br /> <br />9. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Item 9a <br />Growth Manaqement selection of residential pro~ects for 1990 <br /> Mr. Jim Summers, Project Manager of the De Silva Group, <br />requested that 20 of the 51 units allotted to them for 1993 be <br />moved to 1991, for a total of 140 units for the first two years. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lou Baldacci, Far West Associates, stated that he <br />supported Option 1. <br /> <br /> Mr. Butler referred to the proposal that the School District <br />be informed of proposed housing plans and allocations be reviewed <br />with them. He stated that it would be a cumbersome and <br />inappropriate process if at every phase of the project for the <br />next three years, the City would have to go back and get specific <br />authorization from the District. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer agreed with Mr. Butler's statement. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brandes indicated that he would not support any <br />additional units other than the 150 units approved by the prior <br />growth management program.
