MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERs <br />Item 8a <br />Status Report on the Fertile Crescent and Vineyard Avenue Corridor <br />Studies <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (IR 90:07) regarding the <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brandes stated that it would be inappropriate for City <br />staff to consider for annexation any property located in the <br />Fertile Crescent area until the study is completed and the Council <br />has taken some action on it. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr commented that as the Council's representative to <br />the study committee, she received a call notifying her that a <br />meeting has been scheduled for January 29, 1990. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver noted that staff recommended that the Vineyard <br />Avenue study be done in July. He asked Ms. Mohr if the Fertile <br />Crescent Study would be completed by then. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr explained that it could be possible. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer inquired if the City made any comments on the <br />Environmental Impact Report (EIR) on Ruby Hills. <br /> <br /> -11- <br /> 1-16-90 <br /> <br /> <br />
