437

There being no further testimony, Mr. Mercer declared the
public hearing closed.

Mr. Tarver commented that the traffic model should not include
a reduction in the trip generated by the mall from 2.8 trips to 2.3
trips as a result of the two BART stations, since there is no clear
commitment about these two stations.

Mr. Brandes indicated that this was a well-designed project
with no changes recommended by either the Planning Commission or
the Design Review Board. He stated that it was unusual for the
City to require a modification on buildings constructed a few years
back, but agreed with Mr. Conroe that if the screening for the
mechanical equipment is to be done, it ought to have a financial
limitation on it.

Mr. Butler expressed the same concern about going back to
modify a building that was approved by the Design Review Board
several years back.

It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Mr. Butler, that
Ordinance No. 1481 be introduced, to be read by title only, and
waiving further reading thereof, approving PUD-81-22-7M, the
request of Mozart Development Company for major modification to the
approved development plan to allow for an increase in the maximum
square footage for a five-building, multi-tenant office complex
from 552,750 sq. ft. to 570,000 sq. ft. located at 6120 Stoneridge
Mall Road, Stoneridge Corporate Plaza, as set forth in the Staff
Report.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor
Mercer
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

It was then moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Mr. Butler,
that Resolution No. 90-158 be adopted, approving Z-90-224, the
application of Mozart Development Company for design review
approval for a three-story, 73,839 sq. ft. office building located
at 6120 Stoneridge Mall Road, Stoneridge Corporate Plaza, as set
forth in the Staff Report, provided that the condition regarding
the revision and reconstruction of the roof equipment screens for
Building 1 and 2 be deleted.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor
Mercer
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

8-21-90
- 13 -
