415 Mr. Tarver agreed with Mr. Mercer that the purpose of signs is ~o.help people conduct business and find where they want to go in the neighborhood. He noted that staff recommended that no amendment to the ordinance be initiated but suggested that staff review the Code in this regard and come back with broader recommendations. 24r. Mercer indicaEed that he had no objection to having an additional two hours for open house during daylight savings time while Council is reviewing the ordinance. Ms. Mohr stated that she was advised by staff to abstain from voting on this item since she worked in the industry. It was moved by Mr. Mercer, and seconded by Mr. Tarver, to initiate a zoning ordinance amendment to extend the hours for displaying open house signs from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. during daylight savings time.
