359

Item 6e
PUD-85-14-1M, Application of Richard Guasco for a Maqor
Modification to an Approved Planned Unit Development Plan to Allow
for the Construction of a 4,900 Square Foot Building Located at
3880 Old Santa Rita Road

Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 90:284) regarding the
matter.

Mr. Mercer declared the public hearing open on the
application.

There being no testimony, Mr. Mercer declared the public
hearing closed.

Mr. Mercer inquired if hazardous waste had been uncovered in
the area and if the new building would have a place for that.

Mr. Swift replied that the property had not been checked for
hazardous waste and that the City's ordinance on hazardous waste
provides that there should be a place for such waste in the new
building.

It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Mr. Butler, that
Resolution No. 90-137 be adopted, based on a review of an initial
environmental impact study done for this project and on a finding
that no significant environmental impact would occur as outlined in
the City's guidelines and on further finding that a negative
declaration is appropriate in connection with PUD-85-14-1M, the
application of Richard Guasco for a major modification to an
approved planned unit development plan to allow for the
construction of a 4,900 square foot building located at 3880 Old
Santa Rita Road.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmember Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor
Mercer
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Ms. Mohr stated that the landscaping plan did not provide for
any landscaping in the area between the back of the building and
the property line. She inquired if trees could be placed there.

Mr. Swift replied that the Design Review Board decided at its
first work session on the project that it would not be necessary to
have trees in that area. He stated that the area is approximately

7-17-90

- 11 -
