Ms. Acosta stated that staff could look into the status of the Fertile Crescent Study and bring a report back to Council. She added that she received a notice on Monday indicating that the public hearing for the Ruby Hill project was tentatively scheduled for the November 1st Board of Supervisors Meeting at 9:00 a.m., at the Board of Supervisors Chamber. Mr. Tarver proposed that the City make a request to have the Board of Supervisors come and speak to the people in the Valley or have a session at a place that is more convenient to public input. Mr. Brandes supported the proposal and added that the Board of Supervisors could hold the public hearing during an evening session in the Valley, possibly in the Pleasanton Council Chambers, to give all those interested the opportunity to attend. It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Mr. Tarver, that a letter be send to the Board of Supervisors urging denial of the project and requesting that the public hearing for the project be held at an evening session in the Valley to allow public input.
