REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> Item 12a <br />Approval of the Aqreement for Recycling with Pleasanton Garbaqe <br />Service <br /> <br /> This item was continued to the October 16, 1990 City Council <br />Meeting at the request of staff. <br /> <br />Item 12b <br />Revised Speed Limit on Bernal Avenue Between Foothill Road and the <br />Easterly Side of the Arroyo de Laquna Bridg~ <br /> <br /> Mr. Elliott presented his report (SR 90:399) regarding the <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brandes indicated that he concurred with the revision of <br />the speed limit and proposed that signs indicating the cutback be <br />put up to give motorists enough time to make the adjustment. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer suggested that additional police patrol be <br />stationed in the area to warn those who go beyond the new speed <br />limit. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that <br />Ordinance No. 1487 be introduced, to be read by title only and <br />waiving further reading thereof, revising the speed limit on Bernal <br />Avenue between Foothill Road and the easterly side of the Arroyo de <br />Laguna Bridge. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Butler <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> 10-2-90 <br /> - 25 - <br /> <br /> <br />
