MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Item 8a <br /> Resignation on the Human Services Commission <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer stated that he had received a letter of resignation <br /> from Ms. Denise Howe as a member of the Human Services Commission. <br /> He indicated that applications for the vacancy would be accepted <br /> until October 18, 1990. <br /> <br /> Pleasanton Jaycees Project <br /> <br /> Mr. Butler stated that the Councilmembers had received a <br /> letter from the Pleasanton Jaycees indicating that its members <br /> would like to work on some projects that would benefit the City. <br /> He commended the group for their past projects and proposed that <br /> staff look into what projects the Pleasanton Jaycees could work on. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr suggested that they could donate books to the <br /> Library. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer added that benches could be installed outside the <br /> Library. <br /> <br /> Public Notification Over 300-Foot Radius <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver requested that staff prepare a report on the <br /> possibility of having a broader area for public notification of <br /> Council public hearings, including the costs that would be incurred <br /> and a recommendation on how broad the notification area should be. <br /> <br /> Sidewalk on Stoneridge Drive and Sprinqdale Avenue <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer stated that part of the sidewalk on the corner of <br /> Stoneridge Drive and Springdale Avenue needs to be completed. <br /> <br /> 9-18-90 <br /> - 16 - <br /> <br /> <br />
