He added that half of the trees would be specimen trees <br /> in 36" and 48" boxes. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver commented that it was his recollection that a tree <br /> study was done on the original site plan. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift confirmed that a tree study was done and that the <br /> p~ans indicated that the trees that could be saved and would not be <br /> impacted by the development. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mr. Mercer declared the <br /> public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Mr. Butler indicated that based on the tree study done by Mr. <br /> Coate, he was not opposed to the removal of the four eucalyptus <br /> trees that are in bad shape, but that he would like to retain the <br /> other two trees. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr concurred. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver commented that the site has other geological issues <br /> that need to be addressed, in addition to the retention of trees. <br /> <br /> Ms. Scribner stated that she felt all six heritage trees <br /> should be retained. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mr. Butler, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that <br /> Resolution No. 91-51 be adopted, approving the removal of four of <br /> the six existing eucalyptus trees in conjunction with the <br /> development of a 5,128 square foot single-family house in the <br /> Golden Eagle Farm subdivision, located at 1909 Toyon Court, as <br /> filed under Case AP-91-1 (Z-90-554), Curtis Builders. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: Councilmembers Scribner and Tarver <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> - 6 - <br /> 4-2-91 <br /> <br /> <br />
