With regard to Staff concerns on the
proximity of Units 1 and 7 to Santa Rita Road, Unit i was pushed
back to create a turning point with access through the driveway by
Units i and 2. Additionally, the driveways for Units 26 and 27
were moved away from the main entrance by turning the units
completely around and providing a turning point for access to the
driveways. He added that the Planning Commission recommended the
removal of Units 19 and 27 to provide more parking spaces and a tot
lot for the site. He pointed out that a tot lot is not a required
amenity and would present a liability problem for the homeowners as
well as unwanted noise for neighboring residents. He requested,
however, that Units 26 and 27, rather than Units 19 and 27, be
eliminated should a recreational area be required for the children.
He then asked Council to approve the original development plan for
27 units

- 14 -
3-5-91
