He indicated that there are approximately 100 <br />Pleasanton residents who travel to other cities to participate in <br />competitive swimming programs because the only pool in the City <br />which can accommodate the swimming needs of Pleasanton residents is <br />the Amador High School 25-yard, six-lane pool, which cannot <br />accommodate adequate short course workout schedules for the U.S. <br />Swimming Team and the Amador athletes.
