271

7. SPECIAL AND INFORMATION REPORTS
Item 7a
Actions of the Planning Commission at Its Meeting of June 12, 1991
(IR 91:39)

No action was required or taken by the Council on this item.

8. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS
Item 8a
Appointment to the Tri-Valley Community Television Corporation
Board of Directors

Mr. Mercer indicated that only one application was received
for the position and that he was recommending Ms. Linda L. Lucas as
one of Pleasanton's representative to the Tri-Valley Community
Television Corporation Board of Directors.

It was moved by Ms. Mohr, and seconded by Ms. Scribner, that
Resolution No. 91-102 be adopted, appointing Ms. Linda L. Lucas as
one of Pleasanton's representative to the Tri-Valley Community
Television Corporation Board of Directors.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Scribner, Tarver and Mayor Mercer
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Butler
ABSTAIN: None

Item 8b
Appointment of Design Review Board Members

Mr. Mercer stated that there were three applicants for the
positions and that a Subcommittee of three Councilmembers
interviewed two of those applicants on Monday, June 17th. He added
that at the joint City Council/Planning Commission/Design Review
Board work session, it was proposed that the membership of the
Design Review Board be enlarged to five professionals, including an
alternate. He indicated that since this matter would come before
the Council at the second meeting in July, the Subcommittee decided
that the appointment be continued and that Mr. Peter Shutts and
Mr. A1 Dutchover continue to serve on the Design Review Board until
such time as a decision is made on the composition of the Design
Review Board. The application period would then be reopened, the
applicants interviewed, and all the appointments made at one time.

- 19 -
6-18-91
