Mr. Roush responded that he was uncertain if there is a way to make sure fire trucks would have access to that back parcel without having some sort of easement. It's possible that the point of access might be in such a place that it wouldn't be accessible for the Starnes, but he would need to sit down with staff and the applicant to discuss this. 9:47 p.m. Mayor Mercer left the room. Ms. Mohr asked if the easement could be granted to the City. Ms. Mohr indicated that she is concerned about keeping access for public safety issues and perhaps some reasonable access for the neighbor, short of actually giving the neighbors a driveway easement.
